Working with Demo Content: A Guide on Managing Demo Pages and Content

Demo Content Management Guide

Understand how to work with demo pages and content while building your site. Demo content helps showcase features and layout possibilities but should be replaced with your own content before upgrading to a paid subscription.

Finding Demo Content

Version 7.1:

  • All placeholder text, images, and blocks are demo content
  • Demo content isn't explicitly labeled
  • Access through Pages panel

Version 7.0:

  • Demo pages are labeled with "Demo" next to page title
  • Icons indicate page type (layout, blog, etc.)
  • Access through Pages panel

Replacing Demo Content

To replace content in Version 7.1:

  1. Click page title in Pages panel
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update text and images as needed

For page sections:

  1. Click Edit in top-left corner
  2. Locate section with demo content
  3. Edit blocks to replace content

Deleting Demo Content

Desktop:

  • Hover over page in Pages panel
  • Click trash can icon
  • Add new pages using + icon

Mobile App:

  • Tap More > Pages
  • Tap trash can icon (7.1) or swipe left (7.0)
  • Confirm deletion

Restoring Demo Content

  • Pages can be restored within 30 days of deletion
  • Alternative restoration method:
    1. Check URL slugs for conflicts
    2. Switch to a new template
    3. Uninstall previous template
    4. Reinstall and switch back

Important Notes

  • Demo content uses noindex tags (removed upon editing)
  • Stock images available through Getty Images and Unsplash integrations
  • Demo content is for inspiration only, not licensed for live sites
  • All demo content must be replaced before launching site
  • Version 7.0: Switching templates replaces existing demo content

Remember to create unique content that represents your brand and vision while maintaining proper licensing compliance.
