How to Merge Multiple Squarespace Accounts: A Step-by-Step Guide
To merge Squarespace accounts and consolidate multiple sites under a single login, follow these straightforward steps:
Choose Your Main Account Select the email address or social account you want to use as your primary login. This will be your "main account," while others will be "secondary accounts."
For Personal Accounts:
- Log in to your secondary account
- Locate all sites and subscriptions in your dashboard
- Invite your main account email as a collaborator
- Log in to your main account in an incognito window
- Accept all collaboration invites
- Transfer ownership of websites and subscriptions to main account
For Accounts with Unlinked Domains:
- Create a new trial site
- Add payment information
- Contact Squarespace support to move domain to trial site
- Invite main account as collaborator
- Transfer site and domain ownership
For Accounts with Linked Domains:
- Log in to main account
- Invite secondary account as admin collaborator
- Accept invitation from secondary account
- Transfer domain to main account website
Optional: Remove Secondary Account
- Remove secondary account as collaborator
- Request permanent deletion of secondary account (ensure no active subscriptions remain)
Post-Merger Tasks:
- Update domain contact information
- Review form blocks and newsletter storage options
- Verify all permissions are correctly set
