Adding Swiftype Search to Squarespace

Swiftype offers a powerful third-party search solution for your Squarespace website. Here's how to implement it properly.

• Limited to one Swiftype search field per page
• Active Swiftype account

Setting Up Swiftype:

1. Log in to Swiftype and select "Create a new engine"
2. Enter your website URL and click "Verify URL"
3. Wait for site crawling to complete
4. Name your search engine and click "Create engine"
5. Select "Finish setup"
6. Choose "Install search"
7. Customize your search field settings
8. Save both the install code and search field code

Implementation Steps:

Adding Install Code:

1. Navigate to Squarespace's Code Injection panel
2. Paste the Swiftype install code into the Header field
3. Save your changes

Adding Search Field:

1. Select the desired page location
2. Add a Code Block
3. Paste the search field code
4. Save and preview
