How to Create a Podcast Blog: Squarespace Setup Guide
Begin with a blog page to distribute your podcast through Squarespace. Each blog post containing an audio block will appear in your RSS feed, enabling podcast platforms to access your episodes.
Prerequisites:
- First blog post must contain an audio block
- RSS feed supports up to 300 episodes
- One audio block per episode (only first block syncs if multiple present)
Setup Process:
- Create or Select Blog Page
- Add new blog page via Pages menu (+) icon
- Choose a permanent URL slug to avoid syndication issues
- Configure Podcast Settings
- Access Pages menu
- Click gear icon next to blog title
- Select Feeds tab
- Click Podcasting
- Enter Essential Information
- Title
- Author
- Description
- Episode order (By Episode or By Season)
- Feed type (Standard or Optimized for Podcasting)
- Copyright information (optional)
- Contact details (name and email)
- Add Podcast Artwork Requirements:
- JPG or PNG format
- Square dimensions (1400px-3000px)
- Maximum size: 512 KB
- RGB color format
- 72 DPI
- Publish First Episode
- Create blog post
- Add audio block
- Publish content

- Sign in to Podcasts Connect
- Validate feed
- Submit for approval
