
How to Add Swiftype Search to Your Squarespace Site
Integrate Swiftype search functionality into your Squarespace site by following these straightforward steps:
Prerequisites:
- Your site must be published
- You can only add one Swiftype search field per page
Create Your Swiftype Search Engine:
- Login to Swiftype and click [Create A New Engine]
- Enter your website URL and verify it
- Wait for Swiftype to crawl your site
- Name your search engine and click [Create Engine]
- Click [Complete Setup]
- Select [Install Search]
- Customize your search field and click [Activate Site Search]
- Copy both the install code and search field code
Add Swiftype to Squarespace:

Add Install Code:
- Go to Code Injection panel
- Paste the install code into the Header field
- Save changes

Add Search Field:
- Navigate to desired page location
- Insert a Code Block
- Paste the search field code
- Save changes
Important Notes:
- Only one search field will function per page
