Email campaign billing works directly through your Squarespace account using the same payment card as your website subscriptions.

Plan Features and Limits

  • Monthly sending limits vary by plan
  • No limit on contacts per mailing list
  • Once monthly limit is reached, no more campaigns can be sent until next period
  • Taxes may apply based on your location

Free Trial Features

  • Unlimited mailing list size
  • 3 mass email sends total
  • 5,000 email sends per campaign
  • Cannot send test emails or remove "Powered by Squarespace" branding
  • Cannot set up automated campaigns
  • Trial cannot be restored after upgrading

Subscription Management

  1. Access email campaigns dashboard
  2. Click Upgrade
  3. Select billing cycle (monthly/annual)
  4. Choose plan
  5. Confirm payment

Important Notes:

  • Requires active website subscription or Acuity Scheduling plan
  • Automatic renewal every billing cycle
  • 15-day reminder before renewal
  • Separate billing from website subscription
  • Only site owners and administrators can purchase

Managing Your Subscription Through the Billing panel you can:

  • View subscription details
  • Access invoices
  • Turn off auto-renewal
  • Cancel subscription
  • Change plans

Failed Payments

  • 15-day grace period for payment
  • Multiple charge attempts
  • Subscription expires if payment fails after grace period
  • Can resubscribe anytime with active website

Key Terms:

  • Mailing list size: Number of email addresses per list (up to 20 lists)
  • Mass email sends: Individual campaigns sent to lists
  • Automated campaigns: Triggered automatic sends
  • Total monthly sends: Combined mass and automated sends
  • Usage period: Monthly feature limits
  • Billing cycle: Payment frequency (monthly/annual)

Legacy Plans

  • Some customers have older plans with different pricing/features
  • Can keep existing plan while active
  • Must upgrade to current plan to access new features
  • Cannot revert to old plan after changing
