In version 7.0, Index pages organize content from multiple pages into unique layouts, serving as landing pages for visitors to browse content efficiently.

Types of Index Layouts:

  • Grid: Displays clickable images leading to associated pages, creating a visual navigation grid
  • Stacked: Shows sections in a single scrollable page, similar to a digital brochure
  • Slideshow: Features full-screen background images with overlay content, ideal for portfolios

Creating an Index Page:

  1. Open Pages panel and click +
  2. Select Index
  3. Enter page title and save

Managing Content:

  • Add pages through the Pages panel or drag existing pages
  • Edit content by clicking Edit on individual pages
  • Rearrange pages by dragging them in the Pages panel
  • Add featured images through page settings

Customization Options:

  • Grid: Adjust image numbers, shapes, padding, and title display
  • Stacked: Modify fonts, navigation elements, and content display
  • Slideshow: Customize page names and navigation style

Password Protection:

  • Protect main index with a single password
  • For grid/slideshow: Protect individual sub-pages
  • For stacked: Main password protects all sub-pages

Special Features:

  • URL handling with hashtags for specific templates
  • SEO-friendly structure
  • Compatible with various content types through Layout pages

Important Notes:

  • Index availability varies by template
  • Featured images may become navigation elements, banners, or backgrounds
  • Custom code on index pages may require testing outside the index
  • Password protection affects content visibility differently based on index style

For templates without Index support, similar layouts can be created using Layout pages, cover pages, or custom designs.

Note: Specific customization options vary by template family and should be verified within your chosen template.
