Registration Requirements:

  • Must have an Australian address
  • Business must have valid ABN (Australian Business Number) or ACN (Australian Company Number)
  • Registration details must match official business documentation

Entity Requirements:

  • Entity Name must match ABN/ACN documentation
  • Entity Types available:
    • For .com.au: company, partnership, trademark owner, registered business, sole trader
    • For .au: additional options include charity, resident, club, non-profit, individual, trade union

Domain Management:

  • No 5-day grace period for registration cancellation
  • 30-day grace period after expiration for reactivation
  • Payments processed 15 days before expiration
  • No Whois privacy available
  • Cannot transfer to Squarespace
  • Can transfer away from Squarespace anytime (no 60-day lock)
