
Report: Google Domains Have Completed Migration to Squarespace
Managing your former Google Domain on Squarespace
If you owned a Google Domain, it has now been transferred to Squarespace following the September 7, 2023 acquisition. All migrations are complete, and Squarespace is your new domain host.
Accessing Your Domain
If you have an existing Squarespace account:
- Log in at squarespace.com/login with your usual credentials
- Your domains will appear in your domains dashboard
If you're new to Squarespace:
- Visit squarespace.com/login
- Click "Continue with Google"
- Use the same Google account associated with your domain
- If you get an authorization error:
- Click "Can't log in"
- Request a verification email
- Click "Verify" in the email
- Create a new password
Domain Management Features
Through your Squarespace domains dashboard, you can manage:
- Billing and renewals
- Contact information
- DNS records
- Nameservers and DNSSEC
- Whois privacy

Key Changes and Information
Billing:
- Domains auto-renew annually
- You'll receive renewal notices 15 days in advance
- Existing registration periods are honored
- Starting September 7, 2024, domains renew at Squarespace rates
Services and Features:
- No additional subscriptions required
- Domain forwarding and email forwarding continue working
- Google services (Analytics, Search Console, Ads) remain functional
- No 60-day domain lock applies
- Dynamic DNS and ACME TLS/SSL certificates are not supported

Email forwarding setup with action alert
For DNS and Email Updates:
- Access your domains dashboard
- Update DNS records as needed
- Allow 24-72 hours for changes to take effect
- Follow specific instructions for email forwarding setup
Important Notes:
- Tax exemptions must be requested separately with Squarespace
- Domain permissions transferred with original owner status
- You can continue using any website provider
- Domain transfers to other registrars are available anytime
