Managing Google Workspace Domain Registration through Squarespace: A Complete Guide
Managing a Domain Registered Through Google Workspace
If you registered a domain through Google Workspace using Squarespace as the registrar, you'll need to manage certain aspects through both platforms. Here's what you need to know:
Identifying a Resold Domain
Check your domain panel and open the domain details page. If purchased through a reseller, you'll see the reseller's name below the domain's expiration date.

- Access your domain panel
Important Notes:
- Verify your domain within 15 days of registration to avoid suspension
- Domain billing remains separate from Squarespace website billing
- You cannot transfer a resold domain to a Squarespace site, but you can connect it
- Canceling Google Workspace doesn't automatically cancel your domain
- Domain cancellation must be handled separately through Google Workspace
If you need to cancel your recently registered domain (within 5 days), contact Google Workspace support. Note that canceling makes the domain available for others to register.
