How to Upgrade Your Free Squarespace Trial to a Paid Subscription
First, log in and ensure you're on the correct site by checking the URL, especially if you manage multiple Squarespace sites.
To upgrade from a free trial to a paid subscription:
- Navigate to Billing
- Click 'Subscribe' in the bottom banner
- Select your desired plan (Business plan or higher for premium features)
- Choose billing cycle: Annual (includes free domain) or Monthly
- Enter Payment Details
- Provide billing address (all fields required)
- Select payment method:
- Credit/debit card
- SEPA (Euro currency only)
- PayPal (non-US addresses)
- Review and Complete
- Check total amount and next payment date
- Enter promo code if available
- Click 'Confirm and Buy'
Post-Upgrade Steps:
- Set site visibility (private, password-protected, or public)
- Enable search engine indexing if desired
- Verify online store functionality if applicable

Important Notes:
- All subscriptions auto-renew by default
- Each subscription has separate billing
