How to Sell Workshops Using Service Products and Events in Squarespace

Service products and events can be combined to effectively sell workshops on Squarespace. This allows customers to view schedules, register, and make payments seamlessly.

Step 1: Create a Service Product

  • Navigate to the Store page
  • Click [+] and select "Service"
  • Add workshop details (name, description, image)
  • Include date in product name for multiple workshops
  • No shipping address required at checkout

Step 2: Configure Workshop Capacity

  • Set inventory limits under "Inventory" section
  • Enable "Unlimited Inventory" if no size limit
  • Set specific capacity if limited spots available

Step 3: Add Time Variations (Optional)

  • Under "Inventory," click "Add"
  • Choose "Custom" from dropdown
  • Add option name (e.g., "Time")
  • Enter variations (e.g., "11:00 AM", "1:00 PM")
  • Set prices and inventory for each variation

Step 4: Publish Workshop

  • Click "Save and Publish"
  • Optional: Schedule future availability
  • Consider moving store page to "No Link" section

Step 5: Create Event Page

  • Add new event page
  • Enter workshop title
  • Set start and end times
  • Add product block to event description:
    • Click [+] in event editor
    • Select "Product"
    • Search for workshop
    • Customize layout in "Design" tab

Step 6: Finalize Setup

  • Create events for all workshops
  • Add product blocks to each event
  • Customize event page as needed
  • Ensure all details are accurate and complete

Workshops are now ready for customers to browse, register, and purchase through your website.
