Connect a Crazy Domains Domain to Squarespace

Choose between Nameserver Connect or DNS Connect to link your Crazy Domains domain to Squarespace while keeping it registered with Crazy Domains.

Start the Connection in Squarespace:

1. Open the Domains panel
2. Click "Use a domain I own"
3. Enter your domain name and click the arrow
4. Click "Connect domain"
5. Select "Other" from the dropdown
6. Click "Connect domain" again
7. Click "Continue" in the displayed message

Access Crazy Domains:

1. Log in to www.crazydomains.com
2. Click "Visit my account"
3. Select "Domains" tab
4. Click on your domain
5. Scroll to "DNS Settings"

Add DNS Records:

First CNAME Record:

• Host: [unique code from Squarespace]
• Type: CNAME
• Points to: verify.squarespace.com

Second CNAME Record:

• Host: www
• Type: CNAME
• Points to: ext-cust.squarespace.com

Four A Records:

• Host: @ (leave empty)
• Type: A
• Points to (add one record for each):
  • 198.185.159.144
  • 198.185.159.145
  • 198.49.23.144
  • 198.49.23.145

Wait for Connection:

• Connection takes 24-72 hours
• Check progress in Squarespace DNS settings
• Green checkmarks will appear as records connect
• Domain will show as "Connected" when complete

Troubleshooting:

• Temporary errors are normal during the first 72 hours
• Use DNS record verification tool if "Unable to verify domain ownership" appears
• Contact Crazy Domains support for account-specific issues
• Refer to Squarespace's troubleshooting guide for connection problems

Note: Don't delete any existing Mail or Email host records as they're required for email services.
