Begin by connecting your domain in the Squarespace Domains panel:

1. Go to Domains panel and click "Use a domain you own"
2. Enter your domain name and click Connect domain
3. Select "Other" from the dropdown menu and click Continue
4. Keep the DNS Settings panel open for reference

Log into your Strato account:

1. Visit www.strato.com and sign in
2. Find your domain and click "Manage domain"
3. Navigate to DNS > Domain management

Add the first CNAME record:

• Type: CNAME
• Prefix: [unique code from Squarespace]
• Value: verify.squarespace.com
• SPF Rule: No SPF rule

Add the second CNAME record:

• Type: CNAME
• Prefix: www
• Value: ext-cust.squarespace.com
• SPF Rule: No SPF rule

Add the A record:

1. Click "A Record" then "Manage"
2. Enter IP Address: 198.185.159.144
3. Click "Apply settings"

Note: Remove any existing A records except email-related ones.

Wait for connection (24-72 hours):

• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS settings
• Green labels will appear as records connect
• Domain will show "Connected" when complete

Troubleshooting:

• Use DNS verification tool if "Cannot verify domain ownership" appears
• Wait full 72 hours before troubleshooting
• Contact Strato support for account-specific issues
