To connect a Squarespace domain to your Squarespace site, follow these straightforward steps while maintaining separate billing and permissions.

Prerequisites:

• Domain must be parked (not currently connected to another site)
• Domain and website must be on the same Squarespace account
• You need administrator permissions for both the domain and website

Connect Your Domain:

1. Open Domain Dashboard
2. Select your domain
3. Click "Website"
4. Click "Connect Existing Website"
5. Choose the target site
6. Click "Next" then "Confirm"

Change Domain Connection:

1. Open Domain Dashboard
2. Select your domain
3. Click "Website"
4. Click "Change Connection"
5. Select new site
6. Click "Next" then "Confirm"

Remove Domain Connection:

1. Open Domain Dashboard
2. Select your domain
3. Click "Website"
4. Click "Change Connection"
5. Select "Park this domain"
6. Click "Next" then "Confirm"

Important Notes:

• You cannot connect a domain to a specific page (but you can forward to one)
• Subdomains are treated as third-party domains using DNS records
• If previously connected to third-party services, delete all records and add Squarespace default preset
• For shared domain access, request administrator permissions from the domain owner

If you need to maintain the same billing and permissions as the website, consider domain migration instead of connection.
