DNS Connect allows you to link your Hover domain to Squarespace while keeping it registered with Hover. Here's how to set it up:

Step 1: Initialize Connection in Squarespace

1. Go to Domains panel
2. Click "Use a domain I own"
3. Enter your domain name
4. Click "Connect Domain"
5. Select Hover from dropdown
6. Click "Connect Domain" again
7. Click "Continue" when prompted
8. Keep the DNS records panel open for reference

Step 2: Access Hover Account

1. Log in to your Hover account
2. Locate your domain in "Your Domains" panel
3. Click on the domain name
4. Find and click the Squarespace logo in the Connect section

Step 3: Verify Domain

1. Copy the unique verification code from Squarespace's first DNS record
2. Paste this code into Hover's "Verification Value" field
3. Click "Connect" to automatically add required records

Step 4: Complete Connection

• Allow 24-72 hours for full connection
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS settings
• Look for green checkmarks indicating successful connection
• Domain will show "Connected" tag when ready

Troubleshooting:

• Temporary errors are normal during the first 72 hours
• If errors persist after 72 hours, consult Domain Connection Issues guide
• Contact Hover support for account-specific questions

Note: During connection, your domain might experience temporary downtime. This is normal and will resolve once the connection is complete.
