How to Add OpenTable Reservations to Your Website - Installation Guide
OpenTable blocks allow visitors to make restaurant reservations or join waitlists directly from your website. Here's how to set it up and customize it effectively:
Prerequisites
- Active OpenTable restaurant ID
- SSL-enabled domain
- Located in supported countries: Canada, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, UK, or US
- Available in English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish
Adding the OpenTable Block
- Edit your page or footer
- Click Add Block and select OpenTable
- Click the pencil icon to open block editor
- Enter your restaurant ID
- Select your location domain
- Choose your preferred language
Customization Options
- Hide title ("Make a Reservation" text)
- Remove icons from drop-down menus
- Hide OpenTable logo
- Adjust background colors
- Modify font styles through Site Styles panel
Best Practices
- Use only one OpenTable Block per page
- Place on homepage, footer, or dedicated reservations page
- For multiple restaurants, create separate pages for each location
Styling the Block
- Access Site Styles panel
- Adjust fonts under "Headings"
- Modify colors in the color theme section
- Update OpenTable Background Color
- Customize title fonts and colors
Troubleshooting
- If block isn't displaying, view in incognito mode or while logged out
- Ensure SSL certificate is valid for mobile functionality
- For unsupported countries, use button blocks or OpenTable embed code
