After the acquisition of Google Domains by Squarespace on September 7, 2023, all domain registrations have been migrated to Squarespace's platform. Here's what you need to know:

Managing Your Domain

For Existing Squarespace Users:

  • Log in at squarespace.com/login with your current account
  • Access domains through the domains dashboard

For New Squarespace Users:

  1. Visit squarespace.com/login
  2. Click "Continue with Google"
  3. Select your Google Domains-linked account
  4. If you encounter login issues, use the "Unable to access" option for email verification

Domain Management Features:

  • Billing settings
  • Contact information
  • DNS records
  • Nameservers and DNSSEC
  • Whois Privacy

Billing Information:

  • Annual automatic renewals continue
  • Original renewal dates maintained
  • Email notifications sent 15 days before renewal
  • Standard Squarespace rates apply from September 7, 2024

Important Notes:

  • No additional subscriptions required
  • Domains remain valid for their full registration period
  • No 60-day transfer lock applied
  • Google services (Analytics, Search Console, Ads) continue working

Service Limitations:

  • Dynamic DNS not supported
  • ACME TLS/SSL certificates not supported
