  • %i - Collection item SEO title (or item title if no SEO title exists)

Page Title Formats:

  • Default format: Page Title — Site Name
  • Applies to all pages except homepage and collection items
  • Must include %p variable for titles to appear in browser tabs

Homepage Title Format:

  • Defines homepage appearance in browsers and search results
  • Default displays site title using %s variable
  • Can include custom text for additional optimization

Collection Item Title Format:

  • Used for blog posts, products, events, and album tracks
  • Default format: Item Title — Site Name
  • Requires %i variable for proper display

Optimization Tips:

  1. Brand-First Strategy:

    • Place %s at the beginning to prioritize your brand
    • Ideal for established businesses
  2. Content-First Strategy:

    • Start with %p or %i to highlight specific content
    • Better for multi-tab browsing
    • Recommended for bloggers and content-focused sites

Example: For a site named "Healthy Living":

  • Blog post format %i - %s: "Healthy Vegetarian Meals for One - Healthy Living"
  • Page format %p - %s: "Easy Vegetarian Recipes - Healthy Living"

Remember to maintain consistent formatting across your site while prioritizing the most relevant information for your audience and search intent.
