Connect your Hover domain to Squarespace by following these simple steps:

Before You Begin Ensure your domain meets Squarespace's third-party domain connection requirements.

Step 1: Start the Connection in Squarespace

1. Navigate to the Domains menu
2. Click Use External Domain
3. Enter your full domain name
4. Click Connect Domain
5. Select Hover from the dropdown
6. Click Connect Domain and Next
7. Keep the DNS settings window open for reference

Step 2: Access Your Hover Account

1. Log in to your Hover account
2. Locate your domain under Your Domains
3. Click the Squarespace logo in the Connect section

Step 3: Verify Your Domain

1. Copy the unique verification code from Squarespace's DNS settings (first row of Host column)
2. Paste the code into Hover's Verify Value field
3. Click Connect to automatically add required DNS entries

Step 4: Complete Connection

• Wait 24-72 hours for the domain to connect fully
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS settings using Update Entries
• Look for green labels indicating successful connection
• Domain will show as "Connected" in the Domains menu when complete

Important Notes:

• Your domain stays registered with Hover
• Temporary errors are normal during the 24-72 hour propagation period
• Contact Hover support for account-specific issues
• Check Squarespace's troubleshooting guide if problems persist after 72 hours

While connecting, your domain will remain registered with Hover, only the DNS settings will change to point to your Squarespace site.
