
How to Link Your Enom Domain to Squarespace: DNS Setup Guide
To link an Enom domain to Squarespace, follow these simple steps:
Step 1 - Connect in Squarespace
- Go to Domains panel
- Click "Use my domain"
- Enter your domain name
- Click "Connect Domain"
- Select Enom from dropdown
- Click Continue
- Keep the DNS records panel open for reference
Step 2 - Access Enom Settings
- Log into www.enom.com
- Click "Registered" in Domains section
- Select "Host Records"
Step 3 - Add First CNAME Record
- Select "CNAME (Alias)" as Record Type
- Copy unique code from Squarespace's Host column
- Paste code in Host Name field
- Enter verify.squarespace.com in Address field
Step 4 - Add Second CNAME Record
- Select "CNAME (Alias)" as Record Type
- Enter "www" in Host Name field
- Type ext-cust.squarespace.com in Address field
Step 5 - Add Four A-Records Create four separate A-records with these settings:
- Host Name: @ (none)
- Record Type: A (Address)
- IP Addresses (one per record):
- 198.185.159.144
- 198.185.159.145
- 198.49.23.144
- 198.49.23.145
Important Notes:
- Don't delete Mail or Email host records
- Save all changes
- Wait 24-72 hours for changes to take effect
- Monitor progress in Squarespace's DNS Settings
- Green labels will appear as domain links successfully
Troubleshooting:
- Use DNS checker tool if "Unable to verify domain ownership" appears
- Contact Enom support for account-specific issues
- Normal to see errors for up to 72 hours after setup
- Check Squarespace's troubleshooting guide if issues persist after 72 hours
