Ajax loading streamlines page navigation in version 7.0 for a faster, smoother user experience. This asynchronous loading method keeps static elements like headers and footers cached while only loading new content, significantly improving load times for content-heavy pages.
Ajax-Compatible Templates:
- Brine
- Farro
- Skye (blog landing page only)
- Tremont
- York
Managing Ajax Settings:
- Enabled by default for visitors
- Can be disabled via Site Styles panel
- Exceptions: Cannot be disabled in Skye family or Farro blog landing page
- Automatically disabled for logged-in contributors
To Enable/Disable Ajax:
- Open Site Styles panel
- Locate "Enable Ajax Loading"
- Toggle the checkbox as needed
Important Considerations:
- May conflict with custom code and anchor links
- Can affect URL redirects
- Might impact site analytics tracking
Loading Bar Features:
- Available in Brine and Farro templates
- Customizable width and color
- Can be hidden through Site Styles panel
To Modify Loading Bar:
- Access Site Styles panel
- Navigate to "Site: Loading"
- Adjust visibility, width, and color settings
