Ajax loading streamlines page navigation in version 7.0 for a faster, smoother user experience. This asynchronous loading method keeps static elements like headers and footers cached while only loading new content, significantly improving load times for content-heavy pages.

Ajax-Compatible Templates:

  • Brine
  • Farro
  • Skye (blog landing page only)
  • Tremont
  • York

Managing Ajax Settings:

  • Enabled by default for visitors
  • Can be disabled via Site Styles panel
  • Exceptions: Cannot be disabled in Skye family or Farro blog landing page
  • Automatically disabled for logged-in contributors

To Enable/Disable Ajax:

  1. Open Site Styles panel
  2. Locate "Enable Ajax Loading"
  3. Toggle the checkbox as needed

Important Considerations:

  • May conflict with custom code and anchor links
  • Can affect URL redirects
  • Might impact site analytics tracking

Loading Bar Features:

  • Available in Brine and Farro templates
  • Customizable width and color
  • Can be hidden through Site Styles panel

To Modify Loading Bar:

  1. Access Site Styles panel
  2. Navigate to "Site: Loading"
  3. Adjust visibility, width, and color settings

Best Practice: Keep Ajax enabled when supported by your template for optimal site performance, unless specific customizations require disabling it.
