Ajax loading in version 7.0 templates offers faster and smoother page navigation through asynchronous content loading. This feature is particularly beneficial for pages with heavy content like blogs and galleries.

When Ajax is active, static elements like headers and footers remain loaded between page transitions, significantly improving loading times for new content.

Supported Templates:

  • Brine
  • Farro
  • Skye (blog landing page only)
  • Tremont
  • York

Ajax Management:

  • Enabled by default for visitors
  • Automatically disabled for logged-in collaborators
  • Can be disabled in site styles (except for Skye and Farro's blog landing page)

Potential Ajax Conflicts:

  • Custom code implementations
  • Code-based customizations
  • Anchor links
  • URL redirects
  • Website analytics (may only track first-page visits)

Enabling/Disabling Ajax:

  1. Navigate to "Site Styles" panel
  2. Locate "Enable Ajax Loading"
  3. Toggle the checkbox as needed

Loading Bar Feature:

  • Available in Brine and Farro templates
  • Appears at the top during content loading
  • Customizable settings:
    • Visibility toggle
    • Width adjustment
    • Color selection

To Modify Loading Bar:

  1. Access "Site Styles" panel
  2. Find "Site: loading" section
  3. Adjust visibility, width, and color as desired

For optimal site performance, keep Ajax enabled unless specific functionality conflicts arise. Monitor analytics implementation when using Ajax to ensure proper visitor tracking.
