Discover which search phrases drive visitors to your site through Squarespace's Search Keywords panel. This data helps optimize your content strategy based on actual user search behavior.

Accessing Search Keywords Data

Check your search traffic data in Analytics > Traffic > Search Keywords. Choose between Google or Other Search Engines data, and filter results by date range back to January 2014.

Google Search Keywords

View your most clicked Google search terms and their average positions. To access this data:

  • Verify your site in Google Search Console
  • Wait up to 72 hours for data population
  • Previously verified sites don't need re-verification

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Total Clicks: Number of search-driven clicks
  • Total Impressions: Search result appearances
  • Average Click-Through Rate: (Clicks ÷ Impressions) x 100
  • Average Position: Average ranking in search results

  • Note: Searches over 80 characters aren't included

  • Allow time for data sync (up to 72 hours)
  • Check account connectivity status
