Domain contact information serves as the official registration data for your domain. Keep your contact details current, especially your email address, as it's used for important notifications and ownership verification.

Contact Roles:

• Owner: Primary contact and official registrant
• Admin: Secondary contact receiving most domain emails
• Technical: Backup contact for essential communications
• Billing: Secondary backup for essential communications and billing matters

Formatting Requirements:

• First/Last Name: Minimum 4 characters
• Email Address:
  • Avoid domain-associated emails
  • Avoid Apple email addresses (@mac.com, @me.com, @icloud.com)
  • Remove trailing spaces
• Phone Number: Enter without dashes or international prefix
• Address:
  • Street number and name in Address 1
  • Additional details in Address 2 (optional)
  • Leave State empty for non-US/Canada addresses
  • Include correct postal code format
• Organization: Minimum 4 characters (3 must be letters)

Whois Privacy:

• Automatically enabled for most domains
• Not available for certain country code domains (ccTLDs)
• Can be disabled if needed

Modifying Contact Information:

1. Access Domains dashboard
2. Select domain and click Edit in Registration Information
3. Update relevant contact details
4. Verify email address
5. Save changes

Contact changes require email verification:

• Owner contact changes need approval from both old and new email addresses
• Verification must be completed within 15 days to prevent domain suspension
• Verification emails come from [email protected] or [email protected]

Important Tips:

• Keep backup copies of your contact information
• Review information annually
• Ensure access to the registered email address
• Consider enabling contact update lock for additional security
