How to Share Your Squarespace Website Content: A Step-by-Step Guide
Publishing and sharing website URLs involves two main methods: incognito browsing and full preview. Here's how to correctly share your website content:
Using Incognito Mode (For Navigation Pages)
- Open a private/incognito window in your browser
- Navigate to the page without logging in
- Copy the URL from the address bar
- Share the URL via social media or messaging
Using Full Preview (For Unlinked Pages)
- Log into your site
- Navigate to the desired page
- Click the arrow in the upper left corner for full preview
- Copy the URL from the address bar
- Replace integrated domain with custom domain if needed
Important URL Considerations
- Avoid sharing logged-in URLs (they contain /config/ and won't work)
- For homepage blogs, remove the /blog/ slug
- For homepage portfolios, remove the /portfolio/ slug
Image and File Sharing
- Direct image URLs start with images.squarespace-cdn.com or static.squarespace.com
- Share the page URL containing the image instead of the direct image URL
- These URLs cannot be edited
Social Media Integration
- Some content can be automatically shared to social media upon publishing
- Set a logo for social media sharing to ensure consistent branding
- Edit URL slugs to create more meaningful links
Remember: Always verify shared URLs by testing them in an incognito window before distributing them publicly.
