How to Share Content on Social Media: A Platform-by-Platform Guide
Social media content sharing works best when you connect your accounts first and understand platform-specific limitations. Here's how to effectively share your website content:
Before Starting:
- Log out of all social media accounts
- Connect your accounts through Settings > Connected Accounts
- Select sharing destinations where required
- Set up default post formats
Platform-Specific Guidelines:
Facebook:
- Can only share to Facebook Pages (business), not personal profiles
- Limited to 25 accounts in sharing destinations
- Requires selecting a specific Page as destination
LinkedIn:
- Supports personal profile sharing only
- Business page sharing requires manual posting
Pinterest:
- Requires images for blog posts and products
- Select a specific board as destination
- URL automatically included in shares
Tumblr:
- Supports text, image, markdown, quote, and video blocks
- Dashboard view shows limited preview
- Full content visible on public view

Sharing Steps:
For Blog Posts/Events:
- Open Share tab
- Enable desired platforms
- Set status to Published
- Save changes
For Products:
- Go to Marketing > Social Media Accounts
- Enable platforms
- Set visibility to Public
- Save changes
Troubleshooting Tips:
- Wrong account? Disconnect, log out, reconnect
- Facebook issues? Clear cache
- Pinterest not working? Check for images
- Tumblr display issues? Verify supported content types
Remember: You can't reshare content using the push method - share URLs manually for repeated posts.
