Apple News integration with Squarespace lets you share your blog content alongside major publications. Here's how to set it up and manage your channel effectively.

Prerequisites:

  • iOS 9 or later
  • Available in US, Australia, and UK
  • Active iCloud account
  • Apple News account

Setup Process:

  1. Connect Your Account
  • Log into Apple News Publisher
  • Get your API key
  • Copy the three provided codes (including Secret Code)
  • In Squarespace, go to Pages > Blog > Settings > Feeds
  • Connect account and paste the API codes

  1. Submit and Publish Content
  • Preview posts in Apple News Publisher
  • Submit initial content for Apple's approval
  • After approval, publish content from Drafts tab
  • New blog posts will automatically sync

Management Tips:

  • Update channel name via Channel Info
  • Customize featured images in Cover tab
  • Connect multiple blogs to one channel
  • Create multiple channels with same iCloud account

Troubleshooting:

  • Allow time for content sync
  • Post updates may have slight delays
  • Contact Apple News support for persistent issues
  • Draft directly in Squarespace for best results

To disconnect, go to Pages > Blog Settings > Feeds and click "Disconnect" in the Apple News section.
