How to Edit and Customize Your Website Footer - A Complete Guide

A site footer appears at the bottom of every page and typically contains essential information like contact details, social media links, and important site navigation. Here's how to customize your footer:

Adding Footer Content

  1. Click [Edit] on any page
  2. Hover over the footer area
  3. Click [Edit Footer]
  4. Add content using these options:
    • Click [Add Block] for individual elements
    • Click [+] to add sections (blank or footer style only)
    • Use the pencil icon to style sections
  5. Click [Save] when finished

Common Footer Elements:

  • Text blocks for contact info and copyright
  • Social media icons
  • Newsletter signup forms
  • Call-to-action buttons

Hiding the Footer

To hide on all pages:

  1. Click [Edit] and access footer area
  2. Click the trash icon
  3. Save changes

To hide on specific pages:

  1. Open Page Panel
  2. Click settings icon next to page title
  3. Go to Navigation tab
  4. Toggle off [Show Footer]

Important Notes:

  • Footer content appears on all site pages
  • Some templates limit footer columns to one
  • Footer content doesn't transfer between templates
  • Mobile display automatically stacks content vertically
  • Pre-footer options available in some templates
  • You cannot move blocks between footer and page content
