Blog posts in Squarespace are organized into two main components: Blog Pages (landing pages displaying multiple posts) and individual Posts (each with its own URL).

Creating a Blog Page:

1. Open Pages panel and click + icon
2. Select Blog from Collections
3. Choose a layout
4. Enter page title
5. Customize settings (posts per page, SEO, social sharing)

Creating a Blog Post:

1. Navigate to blog page
2. Click + in sidebar panel
3. Enter post title (max 200 characters)
4. Add content using Text Block
5. Customize post settings:
   • Featured image
   • Excerpt
   • Categories and tags
   • Comments
   • SEO settings
   • Social sharing
   • Location

Publishing Options:

• Save as Draft
• Publish immediately
• Schedule for later
• Set for review
• Share on social media
• Send as email campaign

Monetization (Version 7.1):

1. Add paywall with pricing plans
2. Choose paywall location:
   • Only blog posts
   • Blog overview and posts
3. Offer preview content
4. Manage subscriber access

Management Features:

• Search and filter posts
• Move posts between blogs
• Delete posts
• Organize by categories/tags
• Track post status
• Set featured posts

Mobile Management:

• Create/edit posts via Squarespace app
• Add text, images, and line blocks
• Modify post settings
• Change publication status

Remember: XML-RPC clients are not supported for blog updates.
