Connect your Dotster domain to Squarespace by following these steps:

Step 1: Start Connection in Squarespace

1. Open the Domains panel
2. Click "Use my domain"
3. Enter your domain name and click the arrow
4. Click "Connect Domain"
5. Select Dotster from the dropdown
6. Click "Connect Domain" and "Continue"
7. Keep the DNS records panel open for reference

Step 2: Access Dotster Account

1. Log in to www.dotster.com
2. Find your domain and click "Manage"
3. Navigate to "DNS & Nameservers" then "DNS Records"

Step 3: Add First CNAME Record

Create a CNAME record with:

• Host: [unique verification code from Squarespace]
• Type: CNAME
• Data: verify.squarespace.com
• TTL: 1 hour

Step 4: Add Second CNAME Record

Create another CNAME record with:

• Host: www
• Type: CNAME
• Data: ext-cust.squarespace.com
• TTL: 1 hour

Step 5: Add Four A Records

Create four A records with:

• Host: @ (for all records)
• Type: A (for all records)
• TTL: 1 hour
• Data (one for each record):
  • 198.185.159.144
  • 198.185.159.145
  • 198.49.23.144
  • 198.49.23.145

Step 6: Wait for Connection

• Allow 24-72 hours for the connection to complete
• Check connection status in Squarespace's DNS Settings
• Click "Refresh Records" to verify
• Look for green labels indicating successful connection

Troubleshooting

If you see "Unable to verify domain ownership":

1. Use the DNS checker tool in DNS Settings
2. Verify all CNAME and A records are correct
3. Contact Dotster support if needed, sharing specific connection requirements

Note: During the connection period, temporary errors are normal. If issues persist after 72 hours, review your DNS settings or contact support.
