Connect a Crazy Domains Domain to Squarespace

Before connecting your Crazy Domains domain to Squarespace, ensure you meet all third-party domain connection requirements.

Step 1: Start Connection in Squarespace

1. Open Domains panel
2. Click "Use a domain I own"
3. Enter your domain name
4. Click "Connect domain"
5. Select "Other" from dropdown
6. Click "Connect domain" again
7. Click "Continue"
8. Keep the DNS records panel open for reference

Step 2: Access Crazy Domains Account

1. Log into www.crazydomains.com
2. Click "Visit My Account"
3. Select "Domains" tab
4. Click your domain
5. Scroll to DNS Settings section

Step 3: Add First CNAME Record

• Host: Copy unique code from Squarespace
• Type: CNAME
• Points to: verify.squarespace.com

Step 4: Add Second CNAME Record

• Host: www
• Type: CNAME
• Points to: ext-cust.squarespace.com

Step 5: Add Four A Records Create these records with these values:

1. Host: @ | Type: A | Points to: 198.185.159.144
2. Host: @ | Type: A | Points to: 198.185.159.145
3. Host: @ | Type: A | Points to: 198.49.23.144
4. Host: @ | Type: A | Points to: 198.49.23.145

Important: Don't delete Mail or Email host records as they control email services.

Step 6: Wait for Connection

• Allow 24-72 hours for full connection
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS Settings
• Green labels indicate successful connections
• Domain will show "Connected" when complete

Troubleshooting

• Use DNS checker tool if you see "Can't verify domain ownership"
• Check DNS Settings panel for correct CNAME and A records
• Contact Crazy Domains support for account-specific issues
