Connect your Crazy Domains domain to Squarespace in 6 simple steps. Follow this guide to properly set up your domain connection using DNS settings.

Step 1: Start the Connection in Squarespace

1. Open the Domains menu
2. Click Use External Domain
3. Enter your domain name and click the arrow
4. Click Connect Domain
5. Select Other from the dropdown
6. Click Connect Domain and Continue
7. Keep the DNS settings menu open for reference

Step 2: Access Crazy Domains

1. Log in to www.crazydomains.com
2. Click Visit My Account
3. Select Domains tab
4. Choose your domain
5. Scroll to DNS Settings

Step 3: Add First CNAME Record

1. In DNS Settings, click Add Entry
2. Select CNAME Record
3. Enter the unique verification code in Sub-Domain field
4. Enter verify.squarespace.com in Alias field
5. Click Update

Step 4: Add Second CNAME Record

1. Click Add Entry
2. Select CNAME Record
3. Enter www in Sub-Domain field
4. Enter ext-cust.squarespace.com in Alias field
5. Click Update

Step 5: Add Four A Records

Add the following A records by leaving the Subdomain field empty:

• 198.185.159.144
• 198.185.159.145
• 198.49.23.144
• 198.49.23.145

Important: Don't delete any existing Mail or Email host records to preserve email functionality.

Step 6: Wait for Connection

• Allow 24-72 hours for full connection
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS settings
• Check for green labels indicating successful connection
• Domain will show "Connected" when complete

• Use DNS Entry Check Tool if domain shows "Domain ownership cannot be verified"
