You can cancel a domain transfer if it's still pending and hasn't been approved by the domain provider. Here's what you need to know:

When You Can Cancel

  • The transfer must still be in "Transfer Pending" status
  • The domain provider hasn't yet approved the transfer
  • The domain hasn't been released to the new host

Cancellation Steps:

  1. Go to the Domains panel
  2. Select the pending transfer domain
  3. Click the menu (...) button
  4. Choose "Cancel Transfer"
  5. Confirm the cancellation

Important Notes:

  • Contact your domain provider to ensure they stop the transfer on their end
  • If the domain shows as "In Transfer," ask your current provider to reject the transfer
  • Once the provider releases the domain, you cannot cancel the transfer
  • After a successful transfer, domains must stay with the new host for 60 days

Best Practice: Cancel the transfer in your panel first, then immediately contact your domain provider to prevent the transfer from proceeding on their end.

Unable to Cancel If:

  • The domain provider has already released the domain
  • The transfer is actively in transit between hosts
  • The transfer has been completed

In these cases, you'll need to wait for the transfer to complete before making any changes to the domain registration.
