Guide: Setting Up and Managing Digital Product Pricing Plans

Pricing plans control access to gated digital content like courses, videos, blogs, and member sites. When added to a pricing plan, content becomes paywalled and only accessible to paying members.

Types of Pricing Plans:

  • Subscription: Recurring payments (weekly/monthly/yearly)
  • Fixed Amount: One-time payment or installments
  • Free: No charge, but requires account creation

Key Features:

  • Up to 500 pricing plans per site
  • Each plan can hold up to 10 digital products
  • Products can be added to maximum 6 pricing plans
  • Customers become site members upon purchase

Creating a Pricing Plan:

  1. Open Pages panel
  2. Select digital product and click "Pricing plans"
  3. Enter name, description, and benefits
  4. Choose pricing structure and amount
  5. Set enrollment dates (optional)
  6. Add digital products (up to 10)

Fixed-Amount Installments:

  • Members gain immediate access after first payment
  • Must continue payments to maintain access
  • Get indefinite access after final payment
  • Only admin can cancel installment plans

Two Pricing Options:

  • Offer two payment structures for same content
  • Must be same type (subscription or fixed-amount)
  • Fixed-amount plans require different payment schedules

Paywall Customization:

  • Customize headline and description
  • Control visibility of pricing plans
  • Set public previews for individual items
  • Style colors and fonts through site settings
  • Option to hide entire page or specific content

Managing Plans:

  • Review and edit through Content & Memberships panel
  • Changes only affect new members
  • Existing members maintain original terms
  • Delete plans through Products section
  • Cannot transfer members between plans

Important Notes:

  • Requires payment processor for paid plans
  • No sale pricing available (use discount codes)
  • Members need customer accounts
  • Paywall or digital product blocks required for sales
  • Create public sign-up page for better visibility
