Enable Abandoned Cart Email Recovery and Boost Sales
Abandoned checkout recovery automatically emails customers who leave items in their cart without completing a purchase. This proven strategy doubles the chance of purchase completion.
The system sends an automated email 24 hours after cart abandonment, featuring:
- Customizable subject line, message, header, and footer
- Personalized Reply-to and From addresses
- "Complete Your Order" button linking to cart review
- Built-in customer opt-out option
Customers receive notifications when:
- They're logged into their account with in-stock items
- OR they provide an email address during checkout AND have in-stock items
Note: Emails aren't sent for subscription products, memberships, or if purchase is completed before the 24-hour mark.
Setup Instructions:
- Enable the Feature
- Navigate to Checkout panel
- Toggle on "Abandoned checkout recovery"
- Customize Email Content
- Access Customer notifications panel
- Modify email elements
- Send test email to preview
- Click "Send Test" to view in inbox
- Track Performance
- Monitor cart abandonment trends
- Measure email success rates
- View customer journey funnel

To Restore Default Settings:
- Scroll to bottom of panel
- Click "Restore Defaults" (Note: This action cannot be undone)

To Disable Notifications:
- Return to Checkout panel
- Toggle off "Abandoned checkout recovery"
Privacy Note: Only email addresses are stored; customers must re-enter other information when returning to complete purchase.
