How It Works
- Sends automated email 24 hours after cart/checkout abandonment
- Customizable subject line, message, header and footer
- Includes "Complete Order" button linking to cart
- Disabled by default to prevent unwanted emails
- Customers can unsubscribe from abandoned cart emails
Email Triggers When:
- Customer enters email during checkout
- Leaves payment page without completing purchase
- At least one cart item remains in stock
Emails won't send if:
- Customer completes purchase before 24-hour mark
- Cart contains only product subscriptions
- Cart contains only memberships

Setup Instructions

Enable the feature:
- Navigate to Checkout settings
- Toggle on "Contacting Customers After Leaving Checkout Area"

Customize email content:
- Access Customer Notifications menu
- Preview and modify email template
- Send test email to verify appearance

- Track abandoned cart metrics in Analytics
- View conversion funnel data
- Measure email campaign success

Managing Settings
To restore default email content:
- Scroll to bottom of settings
- Click "Restore Defaults" (Note: This action cannot be undone)
To disable abandoned cart emails:
- Return to Checkout settings
- Toggle off the feature
No additional customer information beyond email is stored, and customers must re-enter payment details when completing their purchase.
