Domain Verification Guide: How to Add TXT Records in Squarespace DNS
Domain verification through TXT records serves as an alternative method when standard CNAME verification fails or isn't possible. This approach is particularly useful if your domain remains unverified after 72 hours, your provider doesn't support CNAME records, or you can't modify existing CNAME records.
When to Use TXT Record Verification:
- After failed CNAME verification attempts
- When CNAME records aren't supported by your provider
- If you can't modify existing CNAME records
- For subdomain verification
