Add Products To Your Store on Squarespace

Keep track of your products and manage your online store efficiently with organized store pages. Squarespace Commerce allows you to sell four types of products: physical items, downloadable products, services, and gift cards.

Store Structure

  • Store pages display product collections with basic details
  • Product detail pages show comprehensive information about individual items
  • You can have multiple store pages on your site

Adding Products

To add a store page:

  1. Open Pages panel
  2. Click + icon and select Store
  3. Choose store layout
  4. Customize page settings as needed

To add products:

  1. Navigate to store page
  2. Click + icon
  3. Select product type (Physical, Service, Downloadable, or Gift Card)
  4. Fill in product details:
    • Name and description
    • Images (up to 5MB each)
    • Price and inventory
    • Variants (up to 250 per product)
    • Shipping details
    • Tax categories
    • Marketing information

Important Limits:

  • Version 7.1: Up to 10,000 products per store
  • Version 7.0: Up to 200 products per store
  • 250 variants per product
  • Product name: 200 characters
  • SKU: 20 characters
  • Category: 25 characters
  • Tags: 80 characters

  • Schedule product launches
  • Create subscription products
  • Set up limited availability labels
  • Add size charts
  • Connect social accounts for selling
  • Duplicate products for faster creation
  • Customize shopping cart display

Managing Products:

  1. Save as draft or publish immediately
  2. Schedule for future release
  3. Edit existing products
  4. Track inventory
  5. Change visibility settings
  6. Delete when necessary

For optimal performance, regularly review and update your product listings, maintain accurate inventory counts, and ensure all product information is current and complete.
