Share Buttons 7.0: A Complete Guide to Social Media Integration

Share buttons help visitors share your content on social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and Tumblr. They can be added to blog posts, products, events, and Album Pages to increase your site's visibility and traffic.

To enable share buttons:

  1. Open the Share Buttons panel
  2. Select desired social media platforms
  3. Click Save

Share buttons display varies by template family and page type:

  • Album Pages: Below album title
  • Events: Below descriptions
  • Blog posts: Below content
  • Products: Below description and Add to Cart buttons

Advanced Share Buttons are available in Brine, Farro, Skye, Tremont, and York templates, offering customizable:

  • Size
  • Spacing
  • Color
  • Style options (icon only, full, outline, raised)

To hide share buttons:

  • Sitewide: Uncheck all social media in Share Buttons panel
  • Product pages only: Adjust in Site Styles
  • Blog pages: Template-specific settings in Site Styles
  • Album/Events pages: Use Hide album share links and Show social buttons toggles

Important notes:

  • Facebook shares may appear in friends' News Feeds
  • Pinterest only appears for content with featured images
  • Share buttons placement and appearance vary by template
  • Additional social media integration options include:
    • Social icons in header/footer
    • Social media content blocks
    • Connected accounts integration

For optimal visibility, ensure share buttons are enabled for specific page types and properly styled according to your template's options.
