Apple News integration with Squarespace allows you to publish your blog content directly to iOS users. Currently available in the US, Australia, and UK for iOS 9 and later devices.

Prerequisites:

• Active iCloud account
• Apple News account

Setup Process:

1. Access Apple News Publisher & Get API Keys

• Log in at icloud.com/#newspublisher
• Click "Connect CMS"
• Generate API Key (save Secret Code securely)

2. Connect to Squarespace

• Go to Pages panel in Squarespace
• Open Blog settings
• Click "Connect Account" in Apple News section
• Enter the three API codes
• Save to sync last 20 posts

3. Preview Content

• Use Apple News Publisher
• Click Articles > Drafts > Preview
• View on iOS device using preview link

4. Submit for Approval

• In Apple News Publisher
• Navigate to Articles > Drafts
• Click "Submit for Approval"
• Wait for Apple's email confirmation

5. Publish Content

• After approval, go to Articles
• Click "Publish All" in Drafts tab
• New blog posts will auto-publish

Supported Content:

• Text blocks
• Images
• Videos (YouTube/Vimeo URLs only)
• Audio blocks
• Quote blocks
• Gallery blocks (vertical stack or carousel)
• Markdown blocks
• Select embeds (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)

Content Display Notes:

• Featured images become thumbnails/banners
• Text formatting limitations apply
• Columns stack vertically
• Sections not supported
• "Discover on web" link appears at bottom

Managing Your Channel:

• Update channel name in Channel Info
• Modify featured image in Cover tab
• Connect multiple blogs to same channel
• Create additional channels as needed

To disconnect:

• Access Blog settings in Squarespace
• Click "Disconnect" in Apple News section

For optimal results, draft and publish all content from Squarespace rather than Apple News Publisher.
