How to Transfer a Domain from Dotster to Squarespace: Step-by-Step Guide

Moving your domain from Dotster to Squarespace requires careful preparation and several steps. Here's how to do it properly:

Before You Start:

  • Ensure your domain is at least 60 days old
  • Review pricing and billing details
  • Check domain transfer requirements
  • Plan for custom email migration if needed

Step 1: Prepare Your Dotster Domain

  1. Log in to your Dotster account
  2. Find your domain in My Domains panel
  3. Click Manage

Step 2: Update Contact Information

  1. Navigate to Contact Information tab
  2. Select Administrative tab
  3. Verify all details are correct
  4. Update if needed and save changes

Step 3: Unlock Your Domain

  1. Go to Transfers in left panel
  2. Disable Domain Lock
