SEPA direct debit is a payment method for Squarespace subscriptions that allows direct bank transfers within the Single Euro Payment Area. This payment option serves as an alternative to credit or debit cards for European customers.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must reside in a SEPA zone country
• Must use a bank located in the SEPA zone
• Must select € EUR (Euro) as payment currency
• Must have a valid IBAN and account holder name
• Bank account must be SEPA-enabled

Setting Up SEPA Payment:

1. Select SEPA direct debit during checkout
2. Enter first and last name
3. Provide IBAN number
4. Input billing address and VAT information if applicable
5. Confirm SEPA as payment method
6. Complete purchase

Important Considerations:

• Payment processing typically takes 5 days but may be longer
• Plan changes are restricted during payment processing
• Cannot modify billing plan within 15 days of renewal
• VAT may be collected with subscription payments

To Update SEPA Details:

1. Access Payment information panel (for website subscriptions)
2. Click current SEPA details
3. Enter new information
4. Save changes

For domain-only subscriptions, access SEPA details through the Domains dashboard.
