How to Publish Your Squarespace Blog on Apple News: A Complete Guide
Apple News allows you to publish your Squarespace blog content to reach iOS users in the US, Australia, and UK. Here's how to set it up and manage your channel.
Prerequisites:
- iOS 9 or later
- iCloud account
- Apple News account
- Available only in US, Australia, and UK
Setup Process:
- Create an iCloud Account
- Visit www.icloud.com to set up a free account if needed
- Connect Your Apple News Account
- Go to Apple News Publisher
- Sign in with iCloud credentials
- Click Connect CMS
- Generate API key
- Save the Secret Code securely
Highlighted "Articles" tab
- Link Squarespace to Apple News
- Access your Squarespace site's Pages panel
- Open Blog Page settings
- Navigate to Feeds tab
- Click Connect Account in Apple News section
- Enter the three API codes
- Save to sync your 20 most recent posts

- Submit for Approval
- Open Apple News Publisher
- Go to Articles > Drafts
- Click Submit for Approval
- Wait for Apple's email confirmation

- Publish Content
- After approval, go to Articles in Apple News Publisher
- Click Publish All in Drafts tab
- New blog posts will automatically publish to Apple News
- To publish older posts, simply open and resave them in Squarespace

Channel Management:
- Update channel name in Apple News Publisher > Channel Info
- Set featured image in Cover tab
- Link multiple blogs to one channel
- Create multiple channels with same iCloud account
To Disconnect:
- Access Squarespace Pages panel
- Open Blog Page settings
- Go to Feeds tab
- Click Disconnect in Apple News section
Note: Content updates may experience slight delays in syncing, and some Squarespace blocks may not display properly in Apple News.
