Go to the Domains panel and click "Use My Domain." Enter your domain name and select "Other" from the dropdown menu.

Keep the DNS Settings panel open for reference while completing these steps in your Strato account:

1. Log into Strato.com and click "Manage Domain"
2. Navigate to DNS > Domain Management

Add these three DNS records:

First CNAME Record:

• Type: CNAME
• Prefix: [Copy unique code from Squarespace]
• Value: verify.squarespace.com
• SPF Rule: No

Second CNAME Record:

• Type: CNAME
• Prefix: www
• Value: ext-cust.squarespace.com
• SPF Rule: No

A Record:

• Navigate to A-record > Manage
• Enter IP: 198.185.159.144

Important A-Record Notes:

• Delete any existing A-Records with Host: @ or blank
• Keep A-Records with Host: Mail/Email to maintain email service

Wait 24-72 hours for the domain linking to complete. You can monitor progress in the Squarespace DNS Settings panel – look for green labels indicating successful linking.

Troubleshooting:

• Use the DNS checker tool if you see "Could not verify domain ownership"
• Errors are normal for up to 72 hours after setup
• Contact Strato support for account-specific issues

Your domain is properly linked when it shows the "Linked" label in the Domains panel.
