How to Create a Blog Post with Squarespace
Setting up your Squarespace blog takes just a few simple steps to get started and engage with your audience.
Blog Structure Squarespace blogs have two main components:
- Blog Pages: The homepage that displays your posts in a list or grid format
- Blog Posts: Individual articles with dedicated URLs under the Blog Page
Adding a Blog Page
- Open Pages panel and click the + icon
- Select Blog from Collections/Menu
- Choose a layout
- Add page title
- Configure page settings (posts per page, SEO, social sharing)
Creating Blog Posts
- Navigate to your blog page
- Click + in the sidebar
- Enter post title (max 200 characters)
- Add content using the text editor
- Configure post settings:
- Featured image
- Categories and tags
- Comments
- SEO settings
- Social sharing options

Managing Posts
Post Status Options:
- Draft: Save work in progress
- Published: Make post live
- Scheduled: Set future publish date
- Requires Review: Submit for approval
Advanced Features:
- Add location data to posts

- Create email campaigns from posts
Mobile Management Use the Squarespace app to:
- Create new posts
