Geographic visits show where your website traffic comes from, helping you understand audience distribution and guide marketing decisions. The analytics panel provides detailed location data through an interactive heatmap and data tables.
Viewing Geographic Data
Access geographic statistics by opening Analytics > Traffic > Geography. Filter results by date range from January 2014 onward to track specific marketing campaigns or overall trends.
Interactive Heatmap
The heatmap displays visitor density using color intensity:
- Darker areas indicate higher traffic volumes

Data Table Analysis
The table updates dynamically with map interaction:

- Displays visit counts and percentages

Data Collection Notes
- Location data comes from IP addresses
- "Unknown" entries occur when IP location data is unavailable
- Some discrepancies may exist between Squarespace and Google Analytics due to different IP tracking methods
