Product Import Guide for Etsy, Shopify, and Big Cartel

You can import up to 10,000 physical products and services per store page in Squarespace 7.1, or 200 products in version 7.0. Each product can have up to 100 variants.

What Can Be Imported:

Etsy Imports:

• Description
• Images
• Inventory
• Price
• Shipping sizes
• Title

Note: Ensure Etsy's vacation mode is off for proper import of active and sold-out products.

Shopify Imports:

• Description
• Images
• Price
• SKU
• Title
• Variations
• Weight

Big Cartel Imports:

• Description
• Price
• Product Name
• Images

Import Instructions:

From Etsy:

1. Open Products and Services panel > Products > Import
2. Select Etsy > Get Started
3. Choose store page for import
4. Click Start Import
5. Log in to Etsy and grant access
6. Wait for import completion

From Shopify:

1. Download .csv file from Shopify account
2. Go to Products and Services > Products > Import
3. Select Shopify
4. Upload the .csv file
5. Click Import

From Big Cartel:

1. Go to Products and Services > Products > Import
2. Select Big Cartel
3. Enter complete Big Cartel URL
4. Click Import

Important Notes:

• This is a one-time import; inventories won't sync automatically
• Downloadable products cannot be imported
• Imported products appear on a new store page in "Unlinked" section
• Currency must match between platforms to avoid zero pricing
• For continuous sync, use Squarespace Extensions

Post-Import Steps:

1. Check store setup completion
2. Review imported products
3. Set up product categories and tags
4. Create discount codes for existing gift cards
5. Import shipping profiles if needed
6. Configure product subscriptions if desired
7. Add product reviews as needed

This process ensures a smooth transition of your product catalog to Squarespace while maintaining essential product information and organization.
