How to Set Up Click & Collect and Delivery Options for Your Online Store
Click & Collect and local delivery are convenient ways to serve nearby customers. Here's how to set them up effectively:
Click & Collect Setup
To create a free local pickup option:
- Go to Pick-Up menu > Add Pick-Up Option
- Name your pickup option (displays at checkout)
- Add pickup details including address, hours, and instructions
- Enter tax address for proper tax calculation
- Click Save
Important Click & Collect Notes:
- Not available with Afterpay/Clearpay
- Cannot be used for product subscriptions
- Pickup details appear in order confirmation emails
- Orders won't sync with shipping platforms like Shipstation
Adding Delivery Options
To offer local delivery service:
- Navigate to Delivery menu > Add Delivery Option
- Select country and enter postal codes for delivery area
- Name the delivery option
- Set delivery fee (or free)
- Add delivery schedule and contact details
- Save and repeat for multiple delivery zones
Managing Orders
When orders are ready:
- Go to Products & Services > Orders
- Select order and mark as ready
- Choose whether to notify customer by email
- Confirm status change
Best Practices:
- Use custom payment forms for special instructions
- Set clear pickup timeframes
- Consider collecting customer phone numbers
- Establish policies for abandoned orders
You can edit or delete these options anytime through the Pick-Up or Delivery menus.
For efficient tax handling, add a tax address:
- Open pickup option
- Add Tax Address under Optional Information
- Enter address details
- Apply and Save
Note: Customer notification emails automatically include relevant pickup/delivery information and can be customized in email settings.
